Vision

A face in the crowd,
and a myth is fallen,
that love at first sight,
is a fairy tale
we tell a child.

In the street a vision,
with pride and no error,
forces feelings of joy
and makes a worn smile
real.

At the same time that you feel
that you are drowning in your denial
that you are getting lost in utter self negation,
that there is neither cause
nor hope,
that better you'd be dead,
she emerges like the sun.

A vision just for you,
that protects you
and gives you strength
to wait,
for the rain to stop falling,
wait,
to see someone other in the mirror,
wait,
for the noise to stop to deafen you,
wait,
for the killing pain to stop,
wait,
wait,
to touch a little of the light,
wait,
and wait...
